Description
Human CTDSPL Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CTDSPL Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro13-Val236, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.39 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CTD small phosphatase-like protein (CTDSPL) is a ~31 kDa protein. Recruited by REST to neuronal genes that contain RE-1 elements, leading to neuronal gene silencing in non-neuronal cells. For research use only.
Preferentially catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 'Ser-5' within the tandem 7 residue repeats in the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A. Negatively regulates RNA polymerase II transcription, possibly by controlling the transition from initiation/capping to processive transcript elongation.
