Description

Human DEXI ELISA Kit (Small Sample Volume)

Human DEXI ELISA kits are used to detect Dexamethasone Induced Protein (DEXI) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. DEXI, also called MYLE, is a small protein whose expression is induced by glucocorticoids such as dexamethasone and which is found in the endoplasmic reticulum of various cell types, including immune and pancreatic cells. The DEXI gene lies close to CIITA and SOCS1 on chromosome 16, and genetic variants in this region have been associated with autoimmune conditions including type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis. Its molecular function has not been clearly established, but it has been proposed to influence immune regulation and cellular stress responses, so it is mainly studied as a candidate gene in autoimmune disease and glucocorticoid response research.
