Description
Human DOC2A Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human DOC2A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ile11-Gln241, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.41 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Double C2-like domain-containing protein alpha (DOC2A) is a ~43 kDa protein. Calcium sensor which most probably regulates fusion of vesicles with membranes. For research use only.
Binds calcium and phospholipids. May be involved in calcium dependent neurotransmitter release through the interaction with UNC13A. May be involved in calcium-dependent spontaneous release of neurotransmitter in absence of action potentials in neuronal cells. Regulates Ca(2+)-dependent secretory lysosome exocytosis in mast cells.
