Human DUSP6 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human DUSP6 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Leu347, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 40.74 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Dual specificity protein phosphatase 6 (DUSP6) is a ~42 kDa protein. Dual specificity protein phosphatase, which mediates dephosphorylation and inactivation of MAP kinases. For research use only.

Has a specificity for the ERK family. Plays an important role in alleviating chronic postoperative pain. Necessary for the normal dephosphorylation of the long-lasting phosphorylated forms of spinal MAPK1/3 and MAP kinase p38 induced by peripheral surgery, which drives the resolution of acute postoperative allodynia. Also important for dephosphorylation of MAPK1/3 in local wound tissue, which further contributes to resolution of acute pain.
