Description

Human EDA2R ELISA Kit (Small Sample Volume)

Human EDA2R ELISA kits are used to detect Ectodysplasin A2 Receptor (EDA2R) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. EDA2R, ectodysplasin A2 receptor, also known as XEDAR or TNFRSF27, is a member of the tumour necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It is a receptor for the A2 isoform of ectodysplasin, but not for the A1 isoform, which signals through the related receptor EDAR. EDA2R mediates activation of the NF-kappa B and JNK pathways, and activation appears to involve binding to the adaptors TRAF3 and TRAF6. The receptor is a target of the tumour suppressor p53 and is widely expressed, including in hair follicles. Circulating and tissue EDA2R levels have been reported to rise with age and have been associated with ageing-related conditions, lung function decline and muscle wasting, so EDA2R is studied in ectodermal development, ageing and cell death signalling.
