Human EDC4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr89-Thr475, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 45.80 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Enhancer of mRNA-decapping protein 4 is a ~151 kDa protein. In the process of mRNA degradation, seems to play a role in mRNA decapping. For research use only.
Component of a complex containing DCP2 and DCP1A which functions in decapping of ARE-containing mRNAs. Promotes complex formation between DCP1A and DCP2. Enhances the catalytic activity of DCP2 (in vitro).
