Description
Human ELANE Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human ELANE Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ile30-Gln247, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 50.12 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Neutrophil elastase (ELANE) is a ~28 kDa protein. Serine protease that modifies the functions of natural killer cells, monocytes and granulocytes. For research use only.
Inhibits C5a-dependent neutrophil enzyme release and chemotaxis. Promotes cleavage of GSDMB, thereby inhibiting pyroptosis. Promotes blood coagulation. Through the activation of the platelet fibrinogen receptor integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3, potentiates platelet aggregation induced by a threshold concentration of cathepsin G (CTSG).
