Description
Human EPAS1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human EPAS1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser46-Ser355, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.60 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Endothelial PAS domain-containing protein 1 is a ~96 kDa protein. Transcription factor involved in the induction of oxygen regulated genes. For research use only.
Heterodimerizes with ARNT; heterodimer binds to core DNA sequence 5'-TACGTG-3' within the hypoxia response element (HRE) of target gene promoters. Regulates the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and seems to be implicated in the development of blood vessels and the tubular system of lung. May also play a role in the formation of the endothelium that gives rise to the blood brain barrier. Potent activator of the Tie-2 tyrosine kinase expression.
