Description
Human ERAP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ERAP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro41-Phe271, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.62 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 2 (ERAP2) is a ~110 kDa protein. Aminopeptidase that plays a central role in peptide trimming, a step required for the generation of most HLA class I-binding peptides. For research use only.
Peptide trimming is essential to customize longer precursor peptides to fit them to the correct length required for presentation on MHC class I molecules. Preferentially hydrolyzes the basic residues Arg and Lys.
