Description
Human FOLR2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human FOLR2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr17-Asn230, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.09 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Folate receptor beta (FOLR2/FR-β) is a ~29 kDa protein. Binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. For research use only.
Has high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH. Exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis triggers a conformation change that strongly reduces its affinity for folates and mediates their release.
