Human GCH1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser60-Ser250, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.78 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. GTP cyclohydrolase 1 is a ~27 kDa protein. Positively regulates nitric oxide synthesis in umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). For research use only.
May be involved in dopamine synthesis. May modify pain sensitivity and persistence. Isoform GCH-1 is the functional enzyme, the potential function of the enzymatically inactive isoforms remains unknown.
