Description
Human GPC3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GPC3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly69-Ser413, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 41.95 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Glypican-3 is a ~65 kDa protein. Cell surface proteoglycan. For research use only.
Negatively regulates the hedgehog signaling pathway when attached via the GPI-anchor to the cell surface by competing with the hedgehog receptor PTC1 for binding to hedgehog proteins. Binding to the hedgehog protein SHH triggers internalization of the complex by endocytosis and its subsequent lysosomal degradation. Positively regulates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway by binding to the Wnt receptor Frizzled and stimulating the binding of the Frizzled receptor to Wnt ligands. Positively regulates the non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway.
