Human GRK6 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human GRK6 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe186-Phe448, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.3 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. G protein-coupled receptor kinase 6 (GRK6) is a ~65 kDa protein. Specifically phosphorylates the activated forms of G protein-coupled receptors. For research use only.

Such receptor phosphorylation initiates beta-arrestin-mediated receptor desensitization, internalization, and signaling events leading to their desensitization. Seems to be involved in the desensitization of D2-like dopamine receptors in striatum and chemokine receptor CXCR4 which is critical for CXCL12-induced cell chemotaxis. Phosphorylates rhodopsin (RHO) (in vitro) and a non G-protein-coupled receptor: LRP6 during Wnt signaling (in vitro).
