Description
Human HCN2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human HCN2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly524-Leu713, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Potassium/sodium hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel 2 (HCN2) is a ~96 kDa protein. Hyperpolarization-activated ion channel that is permeable to sodium and potassium ions. For research use only.
Displays lower selectivity for K(+) over Na(+) ions. Contributes to the native pacemaker currents in heart (If) and in neurons (Ih). Can also transport ammonium in the distal nephron. Involved in the initiation of neuropathic pain in sensory neurons.
