Human HIVEP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human HIVEP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala199-Ser230&Gly1797-Ser1861, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Transcription factor HIVEP2 is a ~269 kDa protein. This protein specifically binds to the DNA sequence 5'-GGGACTTTCC-3' which is found in the enhancer elements of numerous viral promoters such as those of SV40, CMV, or HIV1. For research use only.
In addition, related sequences are found in the enhancer elements of a number of cellular promoters, including those of the class I MHC, interleukin-2 receptor, somatostatin receptor II, and interferon-beta genes. It may act in T-cell activation.
