Human HMGA1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human HMGA1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu3-Gln107, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 13.75 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. High mobility group protein HMG-I/HMG-Y (HMGA1) is a ~11 kDa protein. HMG-I/Y bind preferentially to the minor groove of A+T rich regions in double-stranded DNA. For research use only.
It is suggested that these proteins could function in nucleosome phasing and in the 3'-end processing of mRNA transcripts. They are also involved in the transcription regulation of genes containing, or in close proximity to A+T-rich regions.
