Description
Human HS2ST1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human HS2ST1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn29-Trp229, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.95 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Heparan sulfate 2-O-sulfotransferase 1 (HS2ST1) is a ~41 kDa protein. Catalyzes the transfer of a sulfo group from 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) to the 2-OH position of iduronic acid (IdoA) or glucuronic acid (GlcA) within the heparan sulfate (HS) chain and participates in HS biosynthesis. For research use only.
Required for metanephric development of kidney formation, suggesting that 2-O-sulfation within HS is essential for signaling between ureteric bud and metanephric mesenchyme.
