Description
Human HSD17B1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human HSD17B1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr4-Pro289, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 33.43 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (HSD17B1) is a ~34 kDa protein. Favors the reduction of estrogens and androgens. For research use only.
Converts estrone (E1) to a more potent estrogen, 17beta-estradiol (E2). Also has 20-alpha-HSD activity. Uses preferentially NADH.
