Human HTR1F Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys209-Lys290, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 37.70 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Also functions as a receptor for various alkaloids and psychoactive substances. Receptor for lasmiditan, a drug for the treatment of acute migraine. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of downstream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. HTR1F is coupled to G(i)/G(o) G alpha proteins and mediates inhibitory neurotransmission by inhibiting adenylate cyclase activity.
