Description

Human IL1q ELISA Kit

Human IL1q ELISA kits are used to detect Interleukin 1 Theta (IL1q) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological samples. IL1q, also known as interleukin-38, IL-1F10 or IL1F10, is a member of the IL-1 cytokine family that is most closely related to the IL-36 receptor antagonist and the IL-1 receptor antagonist. It is expressed in tissues such as skin, tonsil, spleen and thymus, and in immune and epithelial cells, and it is thought to act mainly as an anti-inflammatory regulator by binding the IL-36 receptor and the receptor IL1RAPL1, thereby limiting signalling through IL-36 and downstream pro-inflammatory cytokine production. Altered IL-38 levels have been reported in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and lupus, so it is studied as a modulator of inflammation.
