Description

Human IL2Rg ELISA Kit

Human IL2Rg ELISA kits are used to detect Interleukin 2 Receptor Gamma (IL2Rg) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological samples. IL2Rg, interleukin-2 receptor gamma, also known as CD132 or the common gamma chain, is a cytokine receptor subunit shared by the receptors for IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15 and IL-21. It is expressed mainly on lymphocytes and signals through JAK3 and the STAT pathway to support the development, survival and function of T cells, B cells and natural killer cells. Because it is required for so many cytokine signals, loss-of-function mutations in the X-linked IL2RG gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency, in which T cells and NK cells are absent and B cells are present but nonfunctional. IL2RG is therefore central to immunodeficiency research and to gene therapy trials.
