Description
Human INHA Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human INHA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser233-Ile366, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.99 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Inhibin alpha chain (INHA) is a ~39 kDa protein. Inhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. For research use only.
Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition. Inhibins appear to oppose the functions of activins.
