Human IRF2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Pro113, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.58 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Interferon regulatory factor 2 is a ~39 kDa protein. DNA-binding transcription factor that specifically binds to the upstream regulatory region of type I interferon (IFN) and IFN-inducible genes and regulates their expression. For research use only.
Mainly acts as a transcription repressor, repressing expression. Also acts as an activator for several genes including H4 and IL7. Constitutively binds to the ISRE promoter to activate IL7. Involved in cell cycle regulation through binding the site II (HiNF-M) promoter region of H4 and activating transcription during cell growth.
