Description
Human JAK1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human JAK1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro32-Phe286, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tyrosine-protein kinase JAK1 is a ~133 kDa protein. Tyrosine kinase of the non-receptor type, involved in the IFN-alpha/beta/gamma signal pathway. For research use only.
Kinase partner for the interleukin (IL)-2 receptor as well as interleukin (IL)-10 receptor. Kinase partner for the type I interferon receptor IFNAR2. In response to interferon-binding to IFNAR1-IFNAR2 heterodimer, phosphorylates and activates its binding partner IFNAR2, creating docking sites for STAT proteins. Directly phosphorylates STAT proteins but also activates STAT signaling through the transactivation of other JAK kinases associated with signaling receptors.
