Human Leucyl-cystinyl aminopeptidase / LNPEP ELISA Kit

LNPEP codes for a zinc-dependent aminopeptidase that split lys-bradykinin, met-enkephalin, dynorphin A, vasopressin, oxytocin and other peptide hormones. LNPEP may be found in maternal serum, reside within intracellular vesicles with the insulin-responsive glucose transporter GLUT4, or exist as a type II integral membrane glycoprotein. LNPEP converts angiotensinogen to angiotensin IV (AT4) in the final step of the process, and it is also a receptor for AT4. Alternative splicing generates numerous transcript variants that encode different versions of the protein. Placental site trophoblastic tumor and Gestational Diabetes Insipidus are examples of LNPEP-related illnesses. Translocation of GLUT4 to the plasma membrane and antigen processing and presentation via Class I MHC molecules are the two connected pathways associated with LNPEP.
