Human LIPA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp30-Gln399, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 44.58 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Lysosomal acid lipase/cholesteryl ester hydrolase is a ~45 kDa protein. Catalyzes the deacylation of cholesteryl ester core lipids of endocytosed low density lipoproteins to generate free fatty acids and cholesterol. For research use only.
Hydrolyzes triglycerides (1,2,3-triacylglycerol) and diglycerides (such as 1,2-diacylglycerol and 1,3-diacylglycerol) with preference for the acyl moieties at the sn-1 or sn-3 positions.
