Human MAT2A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu176-Tyr395, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 26.85 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-2 (MAT2A) is a ~43 kDa protein. Catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP. For research use only.
The reaction comprises two steps that are both catalyzed by the same enzyme: formation of S-adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) and triphosphate, and subsequent hydrolysis of the triphosphate.
