Description
Human MCOLN3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MCOLN3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn84-His283, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.56 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Mucolipin-3 is a ~64 kDa protein. Nonselective cation channel probably playing a role in the regulation of membrane trafficking events. For research use only.
Acts as a Ca(2+)-permeable cation channel with inwardly rectifying activity. Mediates release of Ca(2+) from endosomes to the cytoplasm, contributes to endosomal acidification and is involved in the regulation of membrane trafficking and fusion in the endosomal pathway. Also permeable to Mg(2+), Na(+) and K(+). Does not seem to act as mechanosensory transduction channel in inner ear sensory hair cells.
