Human ME3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp128-Asn302, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.95 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. NADP-dependent malic enzyme, mitochondrial is a ~67 kDa protein. Catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of (S)-malate to pyruvate using NADP(+) as a cofactor. For research use only.
Can also reverse the decarboxylation reaction, but only with significantly lower efficiency.
