Human METTL5 Recombinant Protein (N-His)

Human METTL5 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Phe209, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.88 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. rRNA N(6)-adenosine-methyltransferase METTL5 is a ~23 kDa protein. Catalytic subunit of a heterodimer with TRMT112, which specifically methylates the 6th position of adenine in position 1832 of 18S rRNA. For research use only.

N6-methylation of adenine(1832) in 18S rRNA resides in the decoding center of 18S rRNA and is required for translation and embryonic stem cells (ESCs) pluripotency and differentiation. 1. van Tran, N. et al.
