Human MEX3C Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Cys210-Asn397, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 22.68 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. RNA-binding E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MEX3C is a ~69 kDa protein. E3 ubiquitin ligase responsible for the post-transcriptional regulation of common HLA-A allotypes. For research use only.
Binds to the 3' UTR of HLA-A2 mRNA, and regulates its levels by promoting mRNA decay. RNA binding is sufficient to prevent translation, but ubiquitin ligase activity is required for mRNA degradation.
