Human MVP Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala2-Pro272, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 33.28 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Major vault protein (MVP) is a ~99 kDa protein. Required for normal vault structure. For research use only.
Vaults are multi-subunit structures that may act as scaffolds for proteins involved in signal transduction. Vaults may also play a role in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport. Down-regulates IFNG-mediated STAT1 signaling and subsequent activation of JAK. Down-regulates SRC activity and signaling through MAP kinases.
