Description
Human NFKBIB Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human NFKBIB Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Glu85-His332, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.15 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta (NFKBIB) is a ~37 kDa protein. Inhibits NF-kappa-B by complexing with and trapping it in the cytoplasm. For research use only.
However, the unphosphorylated form resynthesized after cell stimulation is able to bind NF-kappa-B allowing its transport to the nucleus and protecting it to further NFKBIA-dependent inactivation. Association with inhibitor kappa B-interacting NKIRAS1 and NKIRAS2 prevent its phosphorylation rendering it more resistant to degradation, explaining its slower degradation.
