Human NFX1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn334-Cys684, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 40.63 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Transcriptional repressor NF-X1 is a ~124 kDa protein. Binds to the X-box motif of MHC class II genes and represses their expression. For research use only.
May play an important role in regulating the duration of an inflammatory response by limiting the period in which MHC class II molecules are induced by interferon-gamma. Isoform 3 binds to the X-box motif of TERT promoter and represses its expression. Together with PABPC1 or PABPC4, isoform 1 acts as a coactivator for TERT expression. Mediates E2-dependent ubiquitination.
