Description
Human NLRC4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human NLRC4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asn764-Phe1019, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 31.16 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. NLR family CARD domain-containing protein 4 is a ~116 kDa protein. Key component of inflammasomes that indirectly senses specific proteins from pathogenic bacteria and fungi and responds by assembling an inflammasome complex that promotes caspase-1 activation, cytokine production and macrophage pyroptosis. For research use only.
The NLRC4 inflammasome is activated as part of the innate immune response to a range of intracellular bacteria.
