Human NOG Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln28-Cys232, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.34 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Noggin is a ~25 kDa protein. Inhibitor of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP) signaling which is required for growth and patterning of the neural tube and somite. For research use only.
Essential for cartilage morphogenesis and joint formation. Inhibits chondrocyte differentiation through its interaction with GDF5 and, probably, GDF6.
