Description
Human NOX4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human NOX4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly210-Glu424, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 27.1 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. NADPH oxidase 4 (NOX4) is a ~66 kDa protein. NADPH oxidase that catalyzes predominantly the reduction of oxygen to H2O2. For research use only.
Can also catalyze to a smaller extent, the reduction of oxygen to superoxide. May function as an oxygen sensor regulating the KCNK3/TASK-1 potassium channel and HIF1A activity. May regulate insulin signaling cascade. May play a role in apoptosis, bone resorption and lipolysaccharide-mediated activation of NFKB.
