Description

Human NOXIN ELISA Kit (Small Sample Volume)

Human NOXIN ELISA kits are used to detect Nitric Oxide Inducible Gene Protein (NOXIN) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological samples. NOXIN, also known as DDIAS (DNA damage-induced apoptosis suppressor), is a nuclear protein whose expression is induced by nitric oxide and by DNA-damaging stress. It is thought to act as an anti-apoptotic factor that supports cell survival and DNA repair after genotoxic injury, in part through interaction with components of the DNA damage response such as the ATR pathway and through effects on the transcription factor NFATc1 and caspase activation. Expression is cell cycle dependent and is often elevated in tumour tissue, for example in lung cancer, where it has been associated with resistance to DNA-damaging therapy. NOXIN is therefore studied in apoptosis, genome maintenance and cancer research.
