Description
Human PAEP Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human PAEP Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met19-Phe158, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 42.85 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Glycodelin (PAEP) is a ~20 kDa protein. Glycoprotein that regulates critical steps during fertilization and also has immunomonomodulatory effects. For research use only.
Four glycoforms, namely glycodelin-S, -A, -F and -C have been identified in reproductive tissues that differ in glycosylation and biological activity. Glycodelin-A has contraceptive and immunosuppressive activities. Glycodelin-C stimulates binding of spermatozoa to the zona pellucida. Glycodelin-F inhibits spermatozoa-zona pellucida binding and significantly suppresses progesterone-induced acrosome reaction of spermatozoa.
