Description
Human PIDD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PIDD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe694-Arg885, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.79 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. p53-induced death domain-containing protein 1 (PIDD1) is a ~99 kDa protein. Component of the DNA damage/stress response pathway that functions downstream of p53/TP53 and can either promote cell survival or apoptosis. For research use only.
Associated with CRADD and the CASP2 caspase, it forms the PIDDosome a complex that activates CASP2 and triggers apoptosis. Associated with IKBKG and RIPK1, it enhances sumoylation and ubiquitination of IKBKG which is important for activation of the transcription factor NF-kappa-B.
