Description
Human PRPH Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PRPH Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu86-Val411, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 40.42 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Peripherin (PRPH) is a ~53 kDa protein. Class-III neuronal intermediate filament protein. For research use only.
May form an independent structural network without the involvement of other neurofilaments or may cooperate with the neuronal intermediate filament proteins NEFL, NEFH, NEFM and INA to form a filamentous network. Assembly of the neuronal intermediate filaments may be regulated by RAB7A. Plays a role in the development of unmyelinated sensory neurons. May be involved in axon elongation and axon regeneration after injury.
