Description
Human PTF1A Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PTF1A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln177-Ser328, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.67 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Pancreas transcription factor 1 subunit alpha (PTF1A) is a ~34 kDa protein. Transcription factor implicated in the cell fate determination in various organs. For research use only.
Binds to the E-box consensus sequence 5'-CANNTG-3'. Plays a role in early and late pancreas development and differentiation. Important for determining whether cells allocated to the pancreatic buds continue towards pancreatic organogenesis or revert back to duodenal fates. May be involved in the maintenance of exocrine pancreas-specific gene expression including ELA1 and amylase.
