Description
Human PYCR1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human PYCR1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser2-Asp319, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 35.52 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase 1, mitochondrial (PYCR1) is a ~33 kDa protein. Oxidoreductase that catalyzes the last step in proline biosynthesis, which corresponds to the reduction of pyrroline-5-carboxylate to L-proline using NAD(P)H. For research use only.
At physiologic concentrations, has higher specific activity in the presence of NADH. Involved in the cellular response to oxidative stress.
