Human RENBP Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met11-Gln254, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 30.27 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. N-acylglucosamine 2-epimerase (RENBP) is a ~48 kDa protein. Catalyzes the interconversion of N-acetylglucosamine to N-acetylmannosamine. For research use only.
Involved in the N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) degradation pathway: although human is not able to catalyze formation of Neu5Gc due to the inactive CMAHP enzyme, Neu5Gc is present in food and must be degraded.
