Human RGS4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human RGS4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser38-Ala205, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.53 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Regulator of G-protein signaling 4 (RGS4) is a ~23 kDa protein. Inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. For research use only.
Activity on G(z)-alpha is inhibited by phosphorylation of the G-protein. Activity on G(z)-alpha and G(i)-alpha-1 is inhibited by palmitoylation of the G-protein.
