Description
Human RNH1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human RNH1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp218-Glu444, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 26.87 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Ribonuclease inhibitor (RNH1) is a ~49 kDa protein. Ribonuclease inhibitor which inhibits RNASE1, RNASE2 and angiogenin (ANG). For research use only.
May play a role in redox homeostasis. Required to inhibit the cytotoxic tRNA ribonuclease activity of ANG in the cytoplasm in absence of stress. Relocates to the nucleus in response to stress, relieving inhibition of ANG in the cytoplasm, and inhibiting the angiogenic activity of ANG in the nucleus.
