Description
Human RYK Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human RYK Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Leu308-Pro568, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 32.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Tyrosine-protein kinase RYK is a ~67 kDa protein. May be a coreceptor along with FZD8 of Wnt proteins, such as WNT1, WNT3, WNT3A and WNT5A. For research use only.
Involved in neuron differentiation, axon guidance, corpus callosum establishment and neurite outgrowth. In response to WNT3 stimulation, receptor C-terminal cleavage occurs in its transmembrane region and allows the C-terminal intracellular product to translocate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where it plays a crucial role in neuronal development.
