Description
Human SHOC2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human SHOC2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser86-Val582, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 58.15 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Leucine-rich repeat protein SHOC-2 (SHOC2) is a ~64 kDa protein. Core component of the SHOC2-MRAS-PP1c (SMP) holophosphatase complex that regulates activation of the MAPK pathway. For research use only.
Acts as a scaffolding protein in the SMP complex. The SMP complex specifically dephosphorylates the inhibitory phosphorylation at 'Ser-259' of RAF1 kinase, 'Ser-365' of BRAF kinase and 'Ser-214' of ARAF kinase, stimulating their kinase activities. The SMP complex enhances the dephosphorylation activity and substrate specificity of PP1c.
