Description
Human SLC26A8 Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human SLC26A8 Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr664-Val970, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 61.6 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Testis anion transporter 1 (SLC26A8) is a ~109 kDa protein. Antiporter that mediates the exchange of sulfate and oxalate against chloride ions across a membrane. For research use only.
Stimulates anion transport activity of CFTR. May cooperate with CFTR in the regulation of chloride and bicarbonate ions fluxes required for activation of the ADCY10/PKA pathway during sperm motility and sperm capacitation. May play a role in sperm tail differentiation and motility and hence male fertility.
