Description
Human SLPI Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human SLPI Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser26-Ala132, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.55 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Antileukoproteinase (SLPI) is a ~14 kDa protein. Acid-stable proteinase inhibitor with strong affinities for trypsin, chymotrypsin, elastase, and cathepsin G. For research use only.
Modulates the inflammatory and immune responses after bacterial infection, and after infection by the intracellular parasite L.major. Down-regulates responses to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Plays a role in regulating the activation of NF-kappa-B and inflammatory responses. Has antimicrobial activity against mycobacteria, but not against salmonella.
